Dennis Chang, MD is board certified in Family Medicine; he also practices travel medicine to help people prevent illness while traveling abroad. He majored in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Southern California and earned his medical degree at the USC Keck School of Medicine. He completed his residency at White Memorial Medical Center. He truly believes in treating people like they are his family members. He daily tries to practice the Golden Rule: treat others the way you want to be treated yourself. Outside of medicine, he loves to play almost all sports, go traveling with his wife and four kids, and serve at his home church.
Christopher Cheng, MD, is triple boarded certified in Neurology, Sleep Medicine, and Clinical Neurophysiology. Dr. Cheng graduated with honors from UCLA, then received his MD with honors from the State University of New York. He then completed his Neurology Residency at NYU where he served as chief resident and received the Resident Teacher of the Year award. Dr. Cheng completed a fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology at UCLA Medical Center, and then completed a second fellowship in Sleep Medicine at Stanford Hospital & Clinics.
Dr. Cheng sees his practice of neurology as an enormous privilege rather than something deserved. He strongly believes in practicing with compassion, focusing on quality over quantity, in an environment where the patient is actively listened to and truly valued, and has easy access to their physician.
Dr. Cheng is capable of working with diverse patient backgrounds and speaks conversational Mandarin. He is also an active member of the medical community, his local church and the greater community. During his free time, Dr. Cheng loves to travel and hike with his wife who is a travel writer, run and play tennis, and spend time with his family.
Darren Kwong, DO, is board certified in Internal Medicine. He completed his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and a masters in Medical Device Design and Engineering from USC prior to pursuing his medical degree from Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in New York. He completed his internship and residency training at Mount Sinai Beth Israel Medical Center in New York. He believes in the value of listening carefully and in shared decision making with his patients. Outside of medicine, Dr. Kwong enjoys playing tennis and golf, snowboarding, and going on bike rides with his wife and two sons. He is also active at serving in his local church as a small group leader and on the praise band.
Henry Peng, MD, is board certified in Family Medicine with a certificate of added qualification in Sports Medicine. He is also certified in musculoskeletal sonography. After graduating from UC Berkeley with a degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology, he earned his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine. He completed his residency and sports medicine fellowship at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center. His areas of interest include “whole person care,” preventative health, sports injuries, and arthritis care. He has served on multiple medical missions trips abroad including Nicaragua and Africa. He enjoys playing sports, traveling, serving at church, and spending time with his wife and four kids.
Jelin Truong, MD, is board certified in Family Medicine. After graduating from Stanford University with a degree in Human Biology, she earned her medical degree from UC San Diego School of Medicine. She completed her internship and residency at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center. Dr. Truong believes in partnering with her patients and their families to optimize their health. Her areas of interest include preventative care, and women's and children's health. Outside of work, Dr. Truong is actively involved with her church, local PTAs, and Boy Scout troop.
